You know the saying: what you see is what you get?

Unfortunately, most of the time this isn’t the case with ready-to-eat food. You need to study the ingredients list meticulously in order to understand what you are serving yourself or your family for breakfast in the morning.

At su.sana superfood we have very busy lives and very little time or patience to study whilst we are doing our grocery shopping. We think that food should be a transparent business, no hidden surprises.

We have made it very simple for you; we don’t hide ingredients on the back of the pack, we just list them on the front. We skip all the pretty pictures and just tell you what it is you’re actually going to eat.
Clean and simple, like you would expect from Italian food.

Although we all love a house that smells like freshly baked granola, we also understand you might not always have the time, or desire, to make some yourself. No worries, we’ve got you covered.
Because our granola gets handmade in small batches and by one of our family members, you can be assured that every bag will be at  least as good as any granola you would make yourself. Made with the same attention and love, and only the best ingredients.

Every bag of granola contains

  • at least 1/3 of nuts & seeds
    2 different types of nuts: walnuts, almonds
    3 different types of seeds: pumpkin, sunflowers & flaxseed
  • roughly 1/3 of rolled oats
  • a handful of puffed brown rice, a splash of date syrup & a sprinkle of true Ceylon cinnamon
  • a little bit of salt to elevate all the flavours
  • to make sure everything is mixed together perfectly and baked to perfection, we add a bit of natural sunflower oil

For our coconut granola recipe we add some unsweetened desiccated coconut & coconut chips.
And in our triple chocolate granola you will find raw cacao nibs and real Belgian dark & milk chocolate shavings and chunks.

We have spent hours and days perfecting this recipe and we truly believe it is the best granola out there, both in taste and nutritional values.

No added sugar

The perfect caramel sweetness that you taste in our granola is all from real food: we only use pure date syrup.
Which not only provides that lovely sweet caramel hint, but also gives you a lot of added nutritional benefits. Dates are rich in dietary potassium, fiber, iron and magnesium and are an excellent source of energy. Because of its low glycemic index, the energy that you will get from the date syrup will last for a very long time.

That means that when you have your bowl of su.sana granola in the morning, it will sustain you for a good few hours until your next meal. So no mid-morning nagging snack craving.

No gluten

We only use nuts, seeds and oats in our recipe as the main components. This means that our granolas are gluten free.
We would like to point out that although oats are gluten free, they can maintain a low quantity of gluten due to cross contamination.
Therefor our granola is not suitable for people with a severe gluten intolerance or Celiac disease.
